I have been dealing with Oakland Animal hospital for many years, they are the best around, very friendly folks to work with!!!
This staff here was very friendly and happy people. Even after multiple calls trying to find the place. If ever I'm in the area and need my co driver checked out I'll be stopping here. Dr Lee was friendly as well as the staff. And in my experience I'm not at liberty to mention all of he truly cares more for his patients than some and is respectful to his customers as is the staff. I would recommend this place to any one in the area or just passing through. I appreciate any glimpse of passion and that's what I seen here.
My dog was experiencing some problems. I called to make her an appointment because of possible infection. I was told to bring her on in, which I did after explaining to the lady that I was on a limited budget & couldn't afford a very high vet bill. She was understanding & said that they could work with it. When I got there I was told that my dogs shots were overdue by 4 days & that I would have to have ALL of her shots done before she could be seen. I agreed to that & proceeded. I left my dog there all day, when I went to retrieve her, I was told that they didn't do the test that they were suppose to do in the first place and they had done other tests that did NOT need to be done!! She had also been administered a flea medicine without my consent. When I was preparing to pay, the lady she kept telling me & very loudly announcing to the other people there to get their animals, that she knew I was broke & couldn't afford all of the tests! Very rude!! So, after $100 visit, I still had no answers about my dogs condition & I found out from 2 other vets that if a dog is sick & could possibly have infection, that by no means should it be given vaccines!! The next day we went to another vet & found out that it's a very common problem and got our meds. I paid the $14 for our visit & left. IMO this vet is only good if your prepared to empty your wallet & fatten theirs!!
